The Cricut Expression is larger than the Cricut Create® or the Cricut Personal Electronic Cutter®. Thus, it is not meant to be lugged around. Rather it is meant to stay on a work table or in a media room.

All Cricut® models are designed to use the same cartridges and the same blade housings, and blades. This is a very convenient feature ot the Cricut machines.

Being a larger machine, The Cricut Expression cuts letters, shapes, and phrases in sizes 12″ x 24″ mat or the 12″ x 12″ mat. The possibilities are endless with this larger machine, allowing you to create bigger die cuts signages, classroom decor, scrapbook layouts, and many more.
